Default Anyone ever seen a bertram Sportsman? (pics inside)

Hi everyone, new here and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a long time shark fishing veteran from NJ. I've already dove right in and started answering some ?'s on shark fishing but I have one I'd like to throw out there. I purchased this boat in shall we say "unseaworthy" condition. After a few years of restoration shes about 80 percent done, but very useable. I have been able to find very little information on this boat. All I really have learned is that they had a very short production run, and that this is the only boat made by Bertram to be an excact scale replica of the famous 31 hull. Has anyone else ever seen one? Anyone have a pic? I have never seen a pic of another one. I love the boat to death, its only 20 ft but handles the rough NE waters like a champ. Got caught in some 6 to 10 on the way back from a trip this past summer, and the boat was solid as a rock. Not bad for a old chunk of fiberglass pushing 40 yrs old! Thankyou and great to meet everyone

I think I saw one in Miami. They made a 25ft also. That is a very nice boat you have.

I don't think so, but I'm not in a big hurry to find out either. Under the floor is packed with expandable foam but this thing is built like a tank. I would really love to get my hands on a 25 ft center console bertram but they are probably as rare as the 20 ft ones. I've been offered a ton of money for this one already, she always turns heads goin out the inlet.

I found your post when googleing for info on Bertram 20' sportsman. Great Boat! I was wondering if you could send me or, direct me to more info and images of your boat. Did you document the refurb on your boat? I have run across of these in a barn that needs a lot of work and I am thinking of making an offer. What are things to look out for with these boats? I sent you with a PM with my email if you would like to contact me directly.

Cheers,
Jeff
