COMMERCIAL SHALLOW-WATER GROUPER FISHERY SET TO CLOSE IN GU
The commercial fishery for shallow-water grouper in state waters in the Gulf of Mexico will close at 12:01 a.m., local time, Oct. 10 until 12:01 a.m., local time, Jan. 1, to coincide with a federal closure. The shallow-water grouper species affected by this closure include red, black, gag, yellowfin, scamp, yellowmouth, rock hind and red hind.
