I am waiting as well :!: It was very quite night on the south grounds last night, bummer. I did hear of a 56", 50" being boated and quite a few releases. There were some reports of big fish being caught, but we were too far south to hear everything going on up north of us.

Well hope the next Darkside tourney treats us better. Like always it was still a great night out there. There is no place better in the world to be, fish or no fish .

Default How many total fish were caught?

How many fish in total were caught? How many anglers were there in the tournament?

17 fish were weighed in. I'll have to get back to you on the anglers. We had 79 boats so if you estimate 4 per boat your looking at around 320 in tourney.

It looks like it was a great tournament. Congrats to all who fished it :thumleft:

79 boats and 17 legal fish weighed. Only 21% of the boats landed and weighed a legal fish.

Out of approximately 316 anglers about 5% caught a legal fish. This is with some of the best sworfishing anglers in the area fishing this tourny. If that doesn't show NOAA and NMFS this is still a fishery in major recovery, nothing will.

I also have noticed that the fishing is slower this June compared to June of 03 and June of 04. The swordfish have been smaller respectively compared to June swords of 03 & 04. Anyone else look at their logs and notice that?
