Default Help!!!! Lures Stolen!!!!

Hey everyone. Someone must've hopped on the boat and swiped a bag of Black Bart lures and RJ Boyle Marlin Lures. If anyone in the delray/boynton/lantana area can keep their eyes open at tackle shops and such, I would greatly appreciate it. Reward will be given. The value of all the lures is approximately $1000. Thanks guys!

JJ

the rate of unemployment is directly proportional to the rate of crime. Not makin excuses for the dirtbags, just trading facts

Hope everything works out for you! Might want to talk to local tackle shops too in case the thieves try to take them back like they're returning a gift. They have to get sold somewhere... I don't imagine too many people who need marlin lures are scumbaggy enough to actually steal them.

Check your gas tank too! Especially if the boat's on a lift! I know a guy who keeps his boat on a lift and didn't realize his fuel had been stolen until he's in Lake Boca with a bunch of hotties on board.

I had the "bad" experience of 3 thieves making a failed attempt to steal my boat and trailer while I was home. The rig is behind a locked fence, the trailer is locked and chained into the blacktop, and the police said it is a very difficult rig to even attempt to steal. They tried at 10 AM and had an F-250 ready to pull it once they cut everything securing it for which they had torches and cutters. My neighbor saw a stranger out back and called the police. They were caught and are now all doing jail time. Two of the three involved were third time boat theft offenders and part of a ring that steals and strips boats with none ever found once taken. I know most of us have insurance but who needs the hassle. As Butch said - crime, specifically theft, is directly proportional to the economy and unemployment rate. If they take boats with such ease think how simply they can grab small things. It sure stinks.

Default really sucks...

not being a ass here but did they all run good? special ones? ...I would be heart broke and pissed if someone grabed my lure bag alone. We had to go to kendal not long ago and ID a stripped boat that I fished on... sucks... (so does the attitude of 'acceptance' from law enforcement and some people).. we used to have people take fish off the dock also ... and the cooler.

yeah, the boyle lures were really nice. black barts too. bobby personally handed me one of his marlin lures. he was like "try this one out, i just made it". and those barts were great if we found a long weedline. just flip 'em out and pull at 10 kts. cover the whole weedline in a short time. they were great if it was rough, too. you could keep the speed up on the troll a little bit to gain stability as well as not having to change baits or having them come flying out of the water downsea. killer set of lures. gonna miss 'em if i can't find 'em.
