I have a tree with over 100 large coconuts on it. The coconuts are at a
height of about 25'. The tree is in my backyard with no vehicle access. Any professional tree service/nursery who wants the coconuts and can climb the tree, remove the coconuts and about 6 palm leaves, can have all the coconuts for free. cheers, arthur

DF2, I was listening some WP the other day; really dark, almost scary music, different. Turns out it was last year's Halloweed show at MSG. This should be in the other thread. COCONUTS ANYONE??

You put the lime in the coconut and shake it all up ..... , errr and add a splash of Rhum, or whiskey......
Coconut water is good stuff, don't waste it mate. I have a wheelbarrow full so cannot offer services to retrieve from other's Gypsy palaces. But..... If you ever want to try some nice cooked rice, follow these directions: Aromatic Coconut rice: White (medium/long grain rice) but any grade will work 2 - Cinammon sticks 6 - Cloves 2 - Bay leaves 4 - Cardomom pods 1/2 - Coconut meat (without the brown skin coat) Grate the coconut with a square style cheese grater to get it into slivers. Prepare a batch of basic rice. Throw in the above items at the beginning. Salt, if you desire. Enjoy, with your favorite Pesce del Mar And if you need a libation before din-din: a Glass filled with ice cubes (my definition of a boat drink), a portion of your favored Scotch-Whiskey and top it off with Coconut water. (Green coconuts are better for water and ripe coconuts for the meat.)

You're a true renaissance man. I will try the coco rice with some grilled tripletail from last weekend and a nice libation. Liked your panko post too. I had several coconut trees in my yard that were supposed to be dwarfs for easy maintenance but soon grew some 30+ feet high. The bundles of coconuts those trees would drop would leave craters in the ground. I would occassionally hear them drop. With the dogs and my daughter I was fearful they would drop on someone or something so I knocked em down last year. I loved the look, especially by the pool, but they had to go. Buen apetito. Prof O,
Let me know if you have any success on the coconut removal. My next post will be "Free St. Augustien Grass" - 2-1/2 acres of grass free to anyone who wants it...just bring your mower and you can haul off all you want.
