Wed. we started out early...bait was a little slow for us though we picked through a few gogs at the range and finished off inside the cut with smaller threads. We started running south looking for signs of life and found some frigates working south of Fowey in 110'. We put our spread out and immediately got whacked with king bites. We then set up a drift from 180-60 ft which only produced a few more kings. We heard of a few fish being caught to the north so we picked up and ran. Right off fowey I saw a free jumper and we set up...which the kite was going out, he ate the long bait, but i think the gog was a little too much for that 20lb sail and he jumped off. 0/1 We get set up again and had a a bite on our flat line and fish on! Chased the sail down and got a clean release 1/2. Running low on bait (those king bites in morning were relentless!) we headed to the range and filled the well again. This time we continued to run to the north to find more action. Just North of Haulover we found some birds in 180'...we quickly had on a double and jumed one off and got a clean release on the other. 2/3 On our last drift we saw one more free jumper but couldn't get him to come up again. We ended the day 2/3 on sails and a bunch of kings.
