Default Key Largo Bite, on or off ?

Hoping to compare notes with anyone swordfishing the northern Keys area and off Key Largo. Fished it one night and had a couple bites. Is it worth putting in more time, and is there any depths that are better than others. Looking forward to hearing some feedback, thanks, Copper Green

Conchy,

i fish outta ocean reef every weekend. Havent gone sword'n as much as i'd like to this season but i think proffesor O sent me this link a lil while back....hope it helps

http://oceancurrents.rsmas.miami.edu...athymetry.html

It has some pretty good detail to it. Im always try'n to get my buddies to go out sword'n on the weekends but they are usually chase'n the pinkfin tuna at the bars so they are pretty worthless, if your ever short someone gimmie a shout i'll be down just about any night that we get a window.

I'll be down in ORC over christmas/new years and we'll try and make a couple of trips. I'll post up my results.

We fish out from Angelfish/Pacific in 1200-1800 ft. Last week we caught a 50" and 57" fish.

Those maps on the link above are nice, but there is no zoom in on the southern areas we tend to fish.

We fish off either a 21 contender or 24 hydra-sports. See you out there...

If you can right click on the map you want and then save it to your computer. You can open it up and then zoom in on the area u want.

Nice work on your fish last week. I was kicking myself last saturday for not bringing out my sword gear along wiht my sail gear. We were out on the edge untill about 5pm live baiting sails, it looked like it would have been a gorgeous night out on the sword grounds.
