Disco, I'd love to hear how you trick up the 260. Mine made a huge difference to the sounder performance, any more would be awsome.

Just start looking in manuel mode,and hit the gain slowly. Learn how to read your recorder, with some lite fuzz..you will see the bottom dwellers better.
