Default phin Report 6-9-07

Started out late ... at 9:30.. started trolling out of the inlet all the way out to the 700ft mark ... decided to do a drop ... after 15min .. got a hit from a 10# golden tile ... trolled back in to 350ft ... did another drop with nothing hitting ... there was tons of broken weed ... and saw bright blue streaks down deep ... so reeled up my deep drop rig and had two dolphin hit the chicken rig ... had a giant school of dolphin come right up to the boat ... most were peanuts with a few 5-6# mixed in ... had a blast catching 20 phin`s ... kept 3 - 6# fish ... all others were to small to keep ... Trolled back in had small phin`s hit the lures ... most of the action was in 125-350ft of water ...P.S no way was it 2ft or less ... more like 3-5ft .. they can never get it right

Came across today...definately no more than 3'. Soupy in the middle, but no problem. Wind at Lucaya blew for about 4 hours yesturday, maybe that is what you guys had down south today.

Dolphin were everywhere over there...mostly small fish although.

Nice report. Sounds like you had fun. Dolphin are getting smaller now that we are in summer.

nice report.. I was out yesterday out of Haulover also..

Only managed 2 live baits, so we trolled artificials and picked up one schoolie... Worked an area with frigates for a white and got nothing so decided to use the 2 live herrings.

Up went the kite and one flat line..

Flat line got a remora and kite bait got a sailfish...

Overall a fun day but slow..

And you arent joking.. leaving the inlet in the morning had has looking at 5 footers atleast...

Atleast it didnt rain..
