flipped a whole bally-hoo on a circle hook to him, took 1 and a half days to finally get the school behind the boat and into position for the chance in the 12# division. All the fish were scattered about never schooling, wierd. took 35 mins to land him, I took it slow and easy as it was a tournaemnt and this could be a decent prize winner.

Nice fishy mate, what lures do you suggest, i'm using pink and white running about 40 yards behind the boat at the mo and having little success. Any help you can give will be greatly apreciated.

sounds fine, most likely you are not trolling around the fish, dolphin are not picky eaters and will hit most any lure. Where are you fishing out of?

I caught that fish on a whole ballyhoo drifted behind the boat when we had the school all around us, I more or less flipped the bait to the fish I wanted.

You may also be surprised at how big of a lure a relatively small dolphin will hit-

Here's another-

On the top picture that little phin nailed a lure that was half it's size going at around 15 knots on the way out to the Sword grounds, the 12/0 first hook was planted firmly inside its mouth
