Picked up a few dolphin on the way out to the sword grounds, we were trying to get bait about 1 mile off port everglades when we see a few dolphin jumping. I immediately drop my bait rod and, put out a trolling spread. The next thing I know the rod I am sitting next to pops out of the outrigger and is screaming drag. I grab the rod, then he puts on a few spectacular jumps. We finally get the fish boatside. My brother grabs the gaff and gets a beautiful head shot, before the fish is even out of the water the gaff hook straightens
My dad grabs another gaff and hands it to my brother, and he once again does a great job gaffing. Finally the fish is in the boat and it is a really nice cow (we estimated it at 20 pounds) . We pick up the lines and start running out to the grounds. We see a gigantic weed line and pick up another three fish there. No swords though, had an awesome 50mph ride in.

we were only a mile off for the 20 pounder(we were getting bait). when we saw her jumping
![]() . we were about 9miles off we we found a huge weedline (it went on for as far as we could see). only a few keeper schoolies and undersized fish that were released.
