Default St Lucie- Rant

Was out yesterday, went 20 miles out, no one in sight. Found my little weed patch with birds working it, was setting lines and BAM, Big Dolphin crashed bait while reel was in freespool. . Reset and started working the area tightley around the birds when this @sshole came right through the weed patch and into the birds, cutting me off. THIS IS A BIG OCEAN, SHOW SOME RESPECT.....Shut the bite down and I just moved on. If you see someone working a area, scout out your own little piece of ocean and work it. We were in 500 ft, no structure and he found me with his radar I am sure because I stayed close to my target area. I work hard to find my fishing grounds, run and gun in a 20 ft CC with no radar looking for something to fish.. DON'T be a dick, show some courtesy.......

I feel better now....

I feel for you. It sucks when you've been patient and respectful and finally get a piece of ocean to yourself and some dickhead runs right up to you. I have zero tolerance for that $hit. I'll run right up to their bow and kindly tell them to "go the **** away, as this is what I do for a living and you are only out for $hits and giggles". Bummer about that big dolphin. I was out Saturday with the boss and we deep dropped and had to move 4 times because boats came up to me. Can't let them find my wreck!!! Caught a bunch of dolphin (small) and had a wahoo (10lbs) swim up fo the boat under the dollies. He was all lit up neon blue and purple and looked cool as hell. More fun to look at than to kill. You'll get 'em next time bro!

I know how you feel. We were out sailfishing this past winter and were hooked up. This asshole pulls up in his Donzi ( an LD Boat for sure) between us and the sail. He runs over our line, cuts the sail off because he wants to ask us how the fishing is. All the while we were waving him off and a sailfish is going ballistic on the other side of him...

Angry Idiots r everywhere...

even 20 mi out on the water, they still find you, stupid @holes. There is a certain amount of respect that we should all give each other on the water(and on the dock for that matter). That crap drives me nutts! Being on a 15' aluminum john boat everybody thinks they can run me over, its unbelievable what i see. I try to keep it under control but sometimes i just explode. Thats why i never go out on weekends, weekdays are so much better, if you can do it. If i go out on the weekend i will get run over or get arrested.
