Default Got My First Golden Tile

I went fishing with my friend Kenny on his boat on Saturday off Stuart. I had never got a golden tile before so Kenny promised me that he'd hook us up.

Here's the results. It scaled at 13 on the water but hours later at the dock it went 11lbs. It really made the 9/0 Senator-Dolphin electric combo strain to torque it up to the surface.

Kenny got us onto some really nice structure that produced well for us. Here's a doubleheader of fat Vermilions.

Great weather, great fishing, great crew, great captain, great beer. Thanks Kenny!

Hey Catch, nice job. With these new bs regs I think my electric will be staying at home. I manual fish them now, otherwise, I run 25 miles for one fish, and leave in 25 minutes.

BigDaddy - you got that right!

Seven pound tile from Sunday 12-03, about 15nm off Stuart Inlet, Florida.

We stumbled upon a great way to cook the Tile fillets. Coat in extra virgin olive oil, grill them on a charcoal BBQ with a grill topper so the fillets don't fall thru the grids, but first sprinkle the hell out of both sides with Janes Krazy Mixed Up seasoning and Olde Bay seasoning. Cook each side about 7 minutes over a medium fire. The fillets will still be moist and flavorful but cooked thoroughly without drying out.

Serve with an ice-cold beer, Pinot Grigio wine or iced tea. Yellow rice and a salad for sides and BINGO!, Jed's a millionaire.

Hey y'all, thanks for the attaboys. I'm really hooked on these critters now.

I just looked at Wunderground and Saturday looks like 5-10 kts, Southeast, 4-5 foot in a leftover swell. Looks like it's time for another visit to Tiley Town!

I'd love to get a really big one to weigh in for Mike's SFC Deepdrop Tournament. Best of luck to all the contestants.
