lp reel and crowder rod?

I'm thinking about getting a lindgren pitman electric reel with a tiagra 80 spooled with 150 lb power pro and a 80 lb crowder deep drop rod is this a good setup?

Have fished on many boats with many deep drop outfits. The LP setups are the best. Haven't seen one rigged to a tiagra but I'm sure it would work fine. My friend has an LP rigged to an 130 international w/ an old Murray Bros custom bent butt. That rig is like a crane. Haven't seen anything tougher. He fishes it a couple times a week and has had no trouble with it in over two years of punishment.
