At West End, go straight out the marina inlet to 750 - 850 ft. Use squid on a standard deep drop rig and you should find some Queens and Yelloweyes.
Good luck!

Of course, if you have the time and don't mind the haul .... you could run to White Sand Ridge for a shot at bigger Queens and Yelloweyes, but that's like 70 miles. Anyway, if you work the dropoff right out front from the marina at those depths you should find some.
Good Luck!

ISLANDRUNNER,
I JUST GOT BACK IN TOWN AND SAW YOUR POST. THE DEEP DROPPING OFF WEST END IS VERY GOOD. BUT IT MY TAKE YOU A FEW DROPS TO FIND SOME NUMBERS THAT YOU CAN CONSISTANTLY PULL FISH OFF OF.
YELLOW EYES AND SILKYS, START IN 500' AND KEEP MAKING DROPS OUT TO 750' QUEENS 750' - 1250'. IF YOU RUN APPROX. 5 MILES SOUTH OF WEST END, TO THE CUT FOR BOOTLE BAY AND HEAD STRAIGHT OUT YOU WILL FIND SOME GREAT DROPPING. I HAVE CAUGHT LOTS OF YELLOW EYES AND SILKYS IN 500- 750' THERE AND SOME VERY BIG QUEENS IN 1200-1250' MAKE SURE THE TIDE IS MOVING WHEN YOU DROP.
IF YOU WANT SOME REAL BIG YELLOW EYES RUN 35 MILES NORTH OF WEST END TOWARDS WHITE SANDS RIDGE. ( SEE PHOTOS ATTACHED TO 9-27-06 WEST END DEEP DROPPING ) I ALWAYS CATCH BIG YELLOW EYES THERE IN 750'
START WITH SQUID AND IF YOU ARE NOT CATCHING ANY SWITCH BAITS TO CUT CUDA. JUST TROLL SOME PULGS IN 70' - 100' ON THE REEF AND YOU WILL CATCH A CUDA IN A FEW MIN.
WHAT DATES ARE YOU GOING I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE ANOTHER RUN OVER IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS. IF WE ARE THERE THE SAME TIME I 'LL GIVE YOU SOME NUMBERS TO FISH.
