Default Any idea what would be there?

I have done a lot of reading on this site. awsome site, love it. I'm looking in to dropping in 2000ft to 2500ft of water any idea what would be out there? i have dropped in 1700ft caught snapper and grouper but never gone over 2000ft? any body got anything please let me know. :?:

I think wreckfish and scombrops live way the hell down there. I hope you have a well charged battery.

I kind of thought those would be out there but really wasn't sure thanks for the response boboe. are scombrops good eating?

mmmmmm, scrombrod, yummmmy.

I have caught them in much less than 2000', have made several drops in the Bahamas 2000' + but never actually brought anything up

caught pomfrets too in about 1000-15oo'

thanks islandshark633 i hope to be going to the Bahamas within the next few weeks my dad going over there about work, so we might be moving over there soon i hope, sooner the better i say i want to catch one really bad.

I have seen then to 16# here, I have a pic in the deep drop gallery, also an oil fish.

cool little fish how deep did you catch it? and the oil fish they good to eat? i want to catch one of thoughts also

the little scrombrod was in about 800 ft off SW reef Nassau, several others have been caught there

the oilfish came from way south in Conception isl at about 600 ft, no reports of them caught near Nassau. good to eat if you can make it past the scales...

that's cool i lived in paradise two years ago for like 4 months when my dad was doing work there. never got to do any fishing the weather was always bad. i will be in grand Bahama this time, you ever fish west end?
