Default Any Help For A Jupiter Newbie?

I'm new to this forum and to deep dropping. Would love to find some golden tiles off the Palm Beaches/ Jupiter area. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Now I'm dyin' to get back out there and can't wait until saturday, cause I'ma goin! Also if you need bait and rigging advice I've been"brain-pickin" a couple of guys and have learned quite a bit.Just ask.

Thanks Poolman ... That's a good start. I have plenty of time on my hands now that I'm retired, so if you have any time off during the week and would like to go with me, PM me and we can get together. I trailer my 25 ft Hydra and am reluctant to go on weekends because it gets too crazy at the ramps. By the same token, if you need anyone to go along on the weekends to help with the expenses or whatever PM me.
Tight lines,
Gait

PMAN,
Let us in on the facts man. What kind of bait and riggin advice did you get from the old salts.PS I split my time between stuart and boynton and am a hell of a boat ho. Would love to fish with you or gait and kick in for costs. Have some knowledge of the jupiter area from years of fishing with Capt Jim on the Country club. PM me if you guys want to hook up.
Take care,
DIRTYFOOT2

Thanks Dirt. I'll PM you later but be aware .... As I mentioned above, it would pretty much have to be during the week.

Actually that coathanger rig sounds alot like what my uncle used years ago,so now I really want to try it.I think maybe I was just lucky last time, but I'll know soon enough after the weather breaks.Bait is simple...squid and etc...bonito,cuda,mullet. I think they called it a carribean sandwich.I like VMC # 12 circle hooks and a light north wind. Got no problem with butts on the boat. Usually have room, but normally I can only fish the weekends, and of course I'm docked in FT Pierce. Maybe you guys can come my way when the gags start coming in.But I do want to get out there with gait sometime soon. Miss the old mutton smokin days. And deepwater is a hell of alot closer off jupiter

You got it Pool. Just give me a holler when you can play hookey during the week and we'll get after 'em.
Same for you dirt. With a litle advanced planning and cooperative wind, we can put something together.

Got it Bright. Will get in touch.
Went out on the 12th with 2 buddys and ended up with 12 Tiles. Current was light in the am, but built a bit in the afternoon but was manageable after switching to a heavier weight. I've made some rigs with bigger hooks so I can use bigger baits in hopes of bigger fish Will let you know how it works out.

Default HOOKEY

This week I've only got nights free. Should be able to swing a weekday off next week though, so let me know whats good for you. We could do an earlybird and grab some gogs on the way out. I'm curious to see if there any snowies or big gags hanging around your tile holes. Also did a little digging back into the " fishing files and found the #'s to a couple sweet deep wrecks right there around Jupiter, that would be fun to try. We'll make it happen eventually. Sounds like your becoming pretty proficient with the tiles though. Good for you. Keep catching em up.

Talk to ya soon,
Butch
