Here in Jamaica we call that a silk. Another name I have heard here and in the Bahamas is a deep water welchman. Whatever the name they are some fine eating. enjoy.

looks like a welchman ..depending how deep you caught it ... color ranges from pink , red or silver gray..

thanks i thought it was a silk but the book i have shows a black outline on tail fin. this guy was little so maybe immature. 700ft deep

in Jamaica we catch them from 1/2lb to close to 10lbs. Very prolific here.

Look's like a Green Snapper I catch them in the Bahamas 650-700 Feet, exellent eating. :lol:
