Now that makes sense.I would use rope and not bungee cords. Those plastic ends snap real easy.Nice fish and nice drop reel.

Ya man, Nice job Da Kine. Ya, fresh barracuda is great for bait, deep dropping and those schoolie dolphin pounce all over it.
Nice job to catch a golden tile, locally around here. Are you really really sure you would not to prefer to catch some kings instead, of dropping so deep?

Like Quack Quack said nice reel too. I got to work one of those LP s-1200 reels last month. They are the Bomb. I've already posted on the merits of them before so will not repeat quite so soon again. But don't blame you one bit for keeping some sort of strap to keep it from flipping O/B.

Caution: Deep Dropping is not for everyone. Children do not do this at home. Adults, don't get all excited about this. It requires a considerable investment between qulaity electronics, the sending unit/display (Hear that hi-power SIMRAD does a great job in quality imaging down deep, so you can actually have a chance in finding some fish.

RT: I like that Raymarine E-120 unit with the 1kw crystal sounder, I know that it does a good job. lol
