Bummer, LP raised the price of their new LP S-1200

As sad news I must say that LP has raised the suggested retail price of their new Electric reel model S-1200. It will now cost you $3500 to own one new. The titanium spool is about $500 extra estimated.

To me it seamed like LP was poised to revolutionalize the deep drop reels with this product, by popular demand. The original $3000 price tag seemed to be set just about right to tempt people to make the step up from their traditional product line or compared to what Kristal has to offer in the Electric reel department in that league.

But it seems like the reels were selling faster than could be supplied. I suppose that will fix the problem. :cry: I had my eyes set on one of those but could not quite afford it just now. Its going to take a little longer now and I am going to be doing a little more research with the competing products plus the historical line-up of LP products, since the price just jumped 17%, a little further to reach.

Still seems like a nice reel though. "For commercial use" if the commercial fisherman can afford one?

I sure hope that they have a Christmas sale. :lol:
