Hi guys Im new to this forum I went out sat afternoon and did a couple of deep drops on 380 ft and caught vermillion, snowy, and tile. I have a question does the current die down as the moon is full?
Once I caught and odd catch it was a yellow edge grouper is that wierd? |

too bad all the buildings and ranges for the really good snowy spots are gone unless you put them in your gps before the ranges went bye-bye... there must be about 15 or so really good snowy spots between the dania pier and halouver inlet

The tides and current are the highest and strongest as you approach the full and new moons. The best tides for deep dropping seem to be in-between the full and new moons. Case in point .... at half moon the other day, the current off Jupiter was around 1 mph whereas the week before it was ripping at almost 7 mph.
Of course the wind speed and direction will influence your drift. Hope that helps. |
