I any one deep dropping with spectra running over silicon carbide ring guides?
Does the spectra rub a groove in the guide or does the guide fray the spectra? Should I get a rod with rollers only? Sound off please!! |

My deep drop rods are all roller guides, but I do have a friend that has all ring guides on his two rods. I fish with him quite a bit and have not yet seen any problems with the ring guides or any fraying of the line.
