Default 11-6-05 Snowy Grouper

I may have had a record here, I was told the all tackle record for a snowy is 29 lbs.

Here is an old pict of a mystic that went 78 lbs

Looks like u might have had the record.....but did u catch him on an electric? We were record hunting for them this summer...handcranking more than three of them from the bottom will def. bring your ego down a notch or two.

This was as close as we got 25lbs

Yes it was an eletric and the general thinking on the other forum is that it was a warsaw and not a snowy.

Default Warsaw

Actually, Warsaw have 10 bony spines on their dorsal fin, and all other groupers have 11. The fish pictured does have 10 spines. The first one is hard to see, as it is very short compared to the second one, wich is the largest. I will post up some pics of some Warsaw that we have caught this year out of my home port, Matagorda, Texas.
