Default Getting started

Looking to get started in deep dropping. I have a diawa deep drop rod and I am now looking for reel options. The tb1000 is at the top of my list but if there is something better in the same range info would help out alot.

Thanks

Tuna How serious are you???

Don't play around with that Diawa crap. Do you see any pictures of 80lb groupers coming up on Diawas? Check out the latest post on this site. No Diawas in sight. No, you don't have to drop 3 grand on a Lindgren Pitman. Start out with a kristal 621 and go from there. Remember, if you don't have the bottom machine to show you what's down there at 1500', you are already behind the 8 ball. Don't waste money on that Japanese junk. Deep dropping is all about pushing a button and letting the fish come to you. I guarantee those guys with the Diawas do a lot of "pumping and pushing" if you no what I mean. Good luck!
