Go near to where the Rockwell used to be, and try to guestimate 800' of water....should be right on it.

EWWWW Rockwell, memories, I almost died in front of Rockwells while spearfishing, I was atacked by a Barracuda while spearfishing, dam near bleed to death. He liked my pretty stainless watch with a pretty blue face.

Is it the sounder or the transducer?

If it's the machine itself it might be worth picking up something basic so, at a minimum, you know how deep you are.

You don't want to waste the trip plus dropping is pretty difficult without knowing the depth and composition, let alone in Bimini.

Even with numbers and a GPS....

Not sure..I have a Garmin 188 c with an AirmarB744v transducer...Never really worked that great after Bob Hewes installed it 3 years ago..Was hoping to get two or three points in an area on gps to work...If I had the pocket I would up everything before the trip....
