Default Half-Assed Grand Slam off Stuart 4-13

I took the TurdVee and my fishing buddy Stan from EHT - South Jersey, plus his two brothers Dave & Tom from Jax and his bro-in-law Dennis from Wisconsin fishing off Stuart.

We tried a spot I was tipped about and didn't see anything and it wasn't mud bottom so we went to another place to go "prospecting for gold" . We did two 5 mile drifts and got only one 5 pound Golden Tilefish, plus a damn 3 foot Spiny Dogfish that tangled up my shit and tried to spine me when I unhooked his worthless ass. We also got a couple SneakerHeads.

The current was do-able for ultra deepdropping at the St Lucie Humps but the wind wasn't. It was already at 10-15kts and building. So we split and went to our normal Tiley Town out of Stuart Inlet.

We limited out but all the GTs were 5 pounders. The seas were building to 4-6ft, wind was 15-20kts North and the current was at 3kts so we went to the Seabass Rocks and got three really nice Seabass in two short drifts. I had a tough time holding position so we said screw it and trolled in, catching a schoolie dolphin and a bonito.

Golden Tile, Seabass, Dolphin, Bonito - a half assed slam.

Pics later.

Here's Stan and me back at Rancho Relaxo just prior to whacking up all the fish. Total for the day was 5 Golden Tiles, 3 Seabass, 1 Dolphin and 1 Bonito.
i didn't take tha mnay pics because I was too busy running the boat and acting as the mate too. They're gonna email me their pics and I'll post them in a few days.

Did you "stretch" that dolphin so it was a legal 20 inches?

Very funny, guys. I know I'll never be as good a fisherman as you. Why beat a brutha when he's down?

"Marlin bait"? Why the hell would I want to befoul my precious tackle by catching a longnose catfish? LOL

And, yeah, the guys measured the dolphin while our tiny ship was getting tossed. 4-7 footers with every 4th wave splashing over the side and everyone holding on with white knuckles didn't make it easy to measure. Besides, he's not holding the fish out towards the camera so it makes it look smaller.
