Default Droppin' Deep Saturday MArch 15

I'm dusting off the custom TurdVee POS and taking it out deep-dropping on Saturday. We're launching out of Stuart and will be monitoring 73.

Of course, you'll know I'm transmitting when you hear a repitiitive rapping sound when some damn Snowbird hogs the radio and yaks for 5 minutes without switching channels. All ya need to do is key your mike and bang it against the console non-stop for at least 60 seconds.

It's a quaint Suthren way of saying "quit hoggin' the airwaves ya Damn Carpetbaggin' SOB!!"

Example: " Antny, get ovah heah, we're catching all the tuna you'd ever want (they're actually bonitos)." "Mortey, ya gotta be f***ing kiddin' me, I just trolled right over that f***in' spot ten minutes ago". "Antny, I'm tellin' you...(rap-rap-rap) your sister is a big... (rap-rap-rap), fat f***in' whore" (rap-rap-rap-rap). "Mortey, my f***in' radio must be sh!ttin' the bed on me; I keep hearin' dis banging sound coming from it" (rap-rap-rap-RAP!) "Oh, geez, Antny, I heard dat's da way dese Southern boys tell us dey don't like us tawkin' on da radio too much".......then blissful silence......

rap, Rap, RAP !!,

Catch

Sycraft, his Pa-In-Law Rick and I didn't have to rap the mike on the console even though there were a few long-winded motts on 73.

We started before dawn at our usual depth and got nothing. We did drift after drift after drift. It was just before noon when Rick got the first Golden Tile of the day. We're lucky we came in "shallow" or we'd have been skunked.

Soon we were in them so thick that we began hi-grading (or culling) and soon that lucky SOB Rick got the biggest Golden Tile ever caught on my boat, a 17 pounder.

We wound up with two biggy smalls at 5 pounds each and the 17 pounder.
Great crew and a great day.

I finished up the day by driving up to Sebastian to have dinner with friends at Capt Hirams. They cooked my tilefish fillets for three of us and our entire tab was only $15 bucks, including iced tea refills. Supasweet!
