Default 100 Fathom Fishing Club - February meeting

For all you 100FFC members who are too lazy to read your emails , the club is having a meeting next month.

It's tentatively scheduled for North Hutchinson Island (near Ft Pierce), Saturday Feb 9th, beginning mid-afternoon into the evening. As things get firmed up you will be contacted via email. We felt that a weekend mid-day/early evening format would allow 100FFC members to show up from farther away than the usual weeknight meetings do.

One of the topics will be daytime swordfishing. Tackle and rigs will be on hand for you to take a look at. Figure on 1/3 fishing BS, 1/3 eating & beerdrinking and 1/3 fisheries issues (like the latest skrew job that SAFMC's George Geiger and NMFS's Hogarth did to us).

Email me, Gaitor or Poolman with a RSVP as to whether you will be coming or not and if so, how many family & guests you're bringing.

Thanks,

Catch-All
100FFC

UPDATE:
The meeting will definitely be held next Saturday Feb 9th from 3pm to about 8pm.

Poolman's HOA torpedoed his request so the North Hutchinson Island location is out. But not to worry; we have a choice of three locations that clubmembers very kindly volunteered to us - Palm Beach Gardens, Hobe Sound or Palm City. I should know for sure by tomorrow which location. I will email the clubmembers the address. Click on my SFC profile and email me with any questions.

At this point, we will have Michelle Sedge from RFA National attending. Several fishing-related manufacturers may also be on hand too.

When you RSVP you must tell us how many family members and/or guests youi'll be bringing. It's going to be a potluck/BYOB event. For example, I will be making my infamous Bimini-style Bahamian Conch Salad.

THanks,

Catch

UPDATE: The Hobe Sound location has been confirmed for Saturday Feb 9th, 3pm - 8pm.

I will email the address to the membership later today.

Thanks,
Mark

Quack - that's a very nice thing to say to our boy Gaitor.

Are you going to be at the 100FFC get-together tomorrow? We all hope you can make it.

We had another great meeting of the 100FFC. Bill & Rachel Netto threw a great party; we had great food & drink, great location, great group of people and great hosts.

Not pictured are Jim Winne/ Gaitor (I think he was in the shitter when we took this pic) , Rachel was taking the pictures.

In attendance were Jim Winne/ Gaitor, Richard Bajakian, Butch/ Dirty foot and his son Reed, Robin Powell of Free Spirit Marine Photography, Billy/ Bottomjerk, Clint/ Sycraft and his two chilluns, Bill & Rachel Netto/ Fullabull, Willi/ MiamiAngler, Walter/ Killin Time and Larry & Robin of Get The Gaff.

The next 100FFC event will be at the inaugural kickoff meeting of the Recreational Fishing Alliance's new Florida Chapter, to be held at the Maritime Academy of Palm Beach, on Thursday evening March 7th. Headline Speaker will be our very own John Reed of the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. Stay tuned!

Mark

Goodtimes.......Glad to see all the old faces, and some of the new. Richard was nice to meet you, and the sword dip was fanfreakintastic. Anybody who hasn't heard Dr. Reed speak before, your missing out. He is the foremost authority, on deepwater marine life, and has logged more hours @ 1000'+ than any other human. Besides that he is a regular guy and fisherman. If you get a chance to hear him speak, at the next meeting or one of his lectures @Harbor Branch GO. You won't be dissapointed
