WILLI - WE ARE FINALLY HOME . SAW IT ALL, DRANK IT ALL, AND DID IT ALL. WE WERE ABLE TO FIND A PET SHOP OFF OF 79 ST IN MIAMI. I BOUGHT 15 GOLD FISH AND PUT 5 IN A TUPPERWARE JUG IN THE CHECK ON LUGGAGE TO BE LOADED ONTO THE CRUISE SHIP CRYSTAL SYMPHONY. FIVE MORE FISH WERE IN THE SAME KIND OF CONTAINER IN MY ROLLIE CARRY ON CASE. THAT JUG WAS SANDWICHED BETWEEN 2 BOTTLES OF LIQUOR. THE CARRY ON WENT THROUGH THE PORT SECURITY AIR PORT TYPE X-RAY SYSTEM. THE LAST 5 FISH WERE IN A PLASTIC BAG FULL OF AIR AND IN MY SPORT JACKET POCKET. ALL 15 GOLDFISH MADE IT ONBOARD WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL!
HOWEVER, WE COULD NOT CONFIRM IF THE 5 THAT WERE X-RAYED WERE RENDERED STERILE. WE HAD ALOT OF FUN WITH THEM AS SEVERAL WENT ON ROAD TRIPS TO THE BAR IN WINE GLASSES. THE SHIPS OFFICERS FOUND OUT ABOUT THEM AND AS THE STORY WAS REPORTED TO US-THEY WENT IN THE ROOM AND TOOK PICTURES OF THEM AND SENT THEM OVER TO THEIR SISTER SHIP -CRYSTAL SERENITY. AFTER I WASNT THROW IN THE BRIG I FELT FAIRLY SAFE. PROBALLY HAVE AN ASTERIC BY MY NAME THOUGH. IN THE BAR ONE OF THE COMEDIANS WE MET AND TOLD THE STORY TO USED IT THE NEXT NIGHT IN HIS ACT AND REFERRED TO THEM AS "SEEING EYE GOLDFISH". SEEING EYE DOGS ARE LEGAL ON THE SHIP -NOT PETS OR MAMALS. WEHAD FUN WITH THEM AND IT WAS A GOOD CONVERSATION TOPIC. WE WERE GLAD TO MEET YOU AND PUT A FACE TO THE AVATAR PHOTO - YOU LOOK YOUNGER IN PERSON. SOMEDAY WELL GET BACK. GOTTA GO NOW ,THANKS

Q-q When We Went On The Crystal Symphony Last Year They Had Just Up Graded The Bathrooms. The New Sinks Were Glass Bowls Sitting On Granite Counters. Very Trendy (?) But Different. Anyway Everyone On The Ship Talked About The '"new Salad Bowls Or Fish Bowls" And The Wheels Started Turning. If We Ever Came Back On Board I Planned To Bring On Some Goldfish As A Joke And To Create A "game " And Pass Them Around To Anyone Who Wanted Them. The Deal Was To See Who Could Keep Them Alive The Longest. Everyone Thought It Was Neat - But No Takers For Adoption.

Of All The Planning I Did Not Prepare An Exit Strategy. However , With The Anti Clorine Drops And Fish Food Several Times A Day And Changing The Water And Moving The Fish Back And Forth From Sink To Sink - There Were Deaths! They Were Expiring About 1 Every Day And A Half. Then Disaster! I Had The New Water In The New Fresh Water Sink Too Hot And Let Me Tell Ya They Swim Pretty Darn Fast In Hot Water. The Problem Is That They Dont Swim For Long. We Lost 3 With The Hot Bath. After That 3 More Died When I Failed To Put The Anti Clorine Drops In. There Must Have Been Too Much Alcohol In The Fish Water Changer. WE GOT DOWN TO THE LAST DAY WITH 1 LEFT. HE WAS A TROOPER! SWIMING LIKE HIS LIFE DEPENDED ON IT, A GALLANT EFFORT WAS MADE BY HIM FOR A REPRIEVE. CALIFORNIA WITH THIER TOUGH LAWS ON PLANT AND ANIMAL ENTRY WAS NOT A CHALLENGE I WANTED TO TAKE. I AM SAD TO REPORT THAT OLE #15 MET AN UNTIMELY DEATH WRAPPED UP IN IN A KLEENEX DESTINED FOR THE SHIPS INCINERATOR. NEVER THOUGHT $2.35 WORTH OF GOLDFISH COULD PROVIDE SO MUCH INTEREST. THEY WERE FEEDER FISH BUT AT LEAST THESE GUYS WENT UP TO 5200 MILES MIAMI TO L.A. THROUGH THE PANAMA CANAL. THEIR STORIES IN FISH HEAVEN SHOULD BE GOOD. AND ALWAYS REMEMBER, HELP KEEP OUR LAKES AND RIVERS CLEAN - GIVE A FISH A BATH!

I once had a pet lobster I named Pinchy. Poor bastard met an untimely death when I put him in the hottub to exercise him. Oh wait a minute, that was an episode from the Simpson's! D'Oh!
Ron - that goldfish gig sounds funny as hell. I'll bet you guys were bent over double, laughing so hard your stomach muscles were in severe pain. Willi - if your POS is still high & dry, you are always welcome to go fishing on my POS. Catch
