Default No good news from Braynen

My e-mail:

Mr Braynen

I am writing to you regarding information circulating the South Florida Fishing Community. Information has reached our community advising of a possible change and/or revision to the recently imposed regulations. While I support conservation, I strongly believe a revision to the newly imposed regulations is needed. I have planned a trip for Treasure Cay in the middle of July and would like to have an accurate explanation in writing as to any rule change. Your time and consideration regarding my request is greatly appreciated.

Here is a reply I received after requesting info on the rumor that I heard...

Dear Mr. Beare

Please be advised that the regulations have NOT changed since 1 January 2007. Although the matter of changing them has been discussed, I am not now able to advise when this might happen or what the changes would involve. Every effort will be made to publicize any changes in a timely manner.
Enjoy your visit.

WOW... Too bad for them, as of this post we have deiced to go with our alternative plan to run our 3 day trip to Boca Chita and do the canyon. Should be just as productive and hear they are slayin 20lb black snapper and large blackfin. I can live with that. Good luck Bahamas. Thanx for the post.

6 bugs per boat/day I think, the full list is available on the Caribbean board in one of the threads about the new regs.

Default Bahamas tourist fishing regulations have been amended.

It's now November and the change in the wind is here, effective October 19, 2007.
