Default Saltwater licensing question

Moved here recently, just bought a boat...I already have a gold sportsman license so I know I am covered...

but if I have friends locally or friends in from out of state, the way I've read the rules is I can't just take them out fishing...I need to get them a license...

I'm from RI where there is no saltwater license req't....I'm not complaining about my needing a license...just want to make certain I know what the rules are.

thanks.

If they fish on your boat they will need a license ..unless they are under 15y or over 65 .. then they dont need one !

You can get them online and print them out. You can get it for one day or a five years, so its not too much of a hassle for people out of town to obtain.
