Hey listen to this we were fishing off the peir and we set a balloon out with a greenback and it gets out about 30 yards and the balloon goes under and pops and then we start getting the fish in it was really clear this fish looked like a Cobia 99% and as soon as we get it in it's a sneackerhead.

"Sneakerhead" !! That is a freakin' hilarious nickname for Sharksuckers! I love it! With your kind permission I'd like to start using that funny expression too.A great trick to pull on a friend with a Sharksucker is catch one on a real hot day when everyone has their shirt off. Take the Sharksucker and slap it onto your friend's back and watch the insane fun begin. It's like an outtake from the movie The Puppetmasters. Catch-All

I had a captain who called them "Adidas fish," "Nike fish," "Reebok fish," etc. My buddy and I used to slap remoras on each other's backs all the time. Who doesn't like a raspy, oval hickey on their back?

So far, the only way I've found to get them off with little or no skin damage is to jump overboard. The water relaxes them and they swim off.
I keep worrying someone's going to slap one on my bald head and it'll suck my brains out, what little are left. ![]() Catch
