Had a great day Sunday. Nice mixed bag of vermillion snapper, lanes, and beefy triggers morning bite was nonstop. Burned up a bunch of bait, and filled up the dinner box. Went monster hunting in the afternoon. Hammer tightened drag on the modified senator, 200 lb braid w/ a 300lb leader and 9/0 4x hook in a 2lb runners shoulder. Let a couple customers get snatched around the stern but couldn't get her turned away from the structure 140' below. Last ditch effort to get a glimpse I jumped on the stick. Dropped another fat runner down and didn't wait long. Couple of good pops and it was on. Ten mins of all out gut busting seesawing this little beauty came aboard to get her bladder popped. prolifgol.JPG
Was hoping for a warsaw, but the tug of war was fun. On a side note we attempted to release the fish by cutting the leader. She was floating, all blown up from the ride up. A little venting on the deck and she swam away to fight again

St Lucie. Big Structure. That particular spot consists of 60-80' sections of bridge span stacked 5 pieces high over a 1/4 mile. The diver from the martin co. artificial reef team says they are present in numbers on all the high relief structure in the area.

Unless they're different down south, Warsaw's--other than pups--will not be as shallow as 140'. Look 300+ if you want to catch them.
