Went out yellow tailing and there was absolutly no current.Went to 3 of my best # and there was no current anywhere. We chummend up large schools of y.t.s but could not get them to eat. We wound up getting 4 fish about 3 lbs. ...When there is no current, they just dont eat. Will try again next week.

Thanks for the report Morty. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who had problems getting them to chew.

The bottom fishin up this way has been less than stellar lately as well. Lockjawed yellertails can sometimes be inspired w/ light line and live chum.
Small greenies or glass minners work good.

Had 12 lb. flourcarbon, #4 size hooks, and glass minnows. Also used blocks of tourament chum that is defrosted with oats and fish oil. We got them up , but they had lockjaw..They just wont eat when there is not any current.

No muttons...Been pretty quiet here lately, I heard the charters talking on the radio yesterday. They were out 22 to30 miles and only caught a few small dolphins and a few blackfin tuna at the409 hump. The tunas were caught early in the a.m. AuSUM
