Git em up!! I would recommend combining some deep jigging (with bait tipped jigs (3 to 5 oz) and metal jigs) and dropping some fresh ballyhoo plugs on 10 foot leaders and as much weight as need to get to the bottom, going as light as possible (3 to 6 oz). Start at the Bar west of Sand Key in about 65' and work the gully just to the outside as well. Then, keep moving west toward the Tail End Buoy fishing the edge anywhere from 135' in to 90'. Make sure to stop along the way at Satan Shoal, Vestal Shoal, and Cosgrove. There's also some great bottom between 5 and 8 miles west of the Tail End Buoy in 90', nice and rocky.
Many years ago, I would have told you just to fish off Sand Key light between 145' and 100' but it aint as good anymore. Git em up!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Juani |

Sent you the PM but not sure the damn chart attached. Here it is again. Git em up. Look at the lower left. You'll see the gully. Then you'll see the bar come up. |

I am just trying to get invited to Shark's next party!!!!!!
![]() ![]() ![]() The guy's got it going on!! Have you seen his party pics?Seriously, there's nothing that should stop guys from giving tips on tactics and general fishing areas. I am not going to give up numbers to a wreck 100 miles out in the Gulf, but I have no problems with areas. High tides and tight lines!! ![]() Juani |

Juani,
That's quite commendable to be giving such specifics. It's nice to see guys are willing to share. I'm sure the guys making the trip will appreciate your great information. Cudos Bro! You deserve that next great catch for being a good guy! Harry |

Shark Slayer and your playas....glad it worked out bro. You guys got em up.
![]() I don't like gettin any credit....it was all you. I just pointed you in the right direction and made a couple standard recommendations on techniques and a marina. I used to make that trip in my old Oceanic when just out of high school...one entire day and night on the boat hardcore fishing near Sand Key and points west and then a day and night of partying on Duval Street. Hope you did both. ![]() Tight lines. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Juani |
