Default sabastian inlet 2/28

cleared the inlet at about 6:30 and headed out to a artificial reef to make bait. got some good bait and went to about 70 foot, but no good. next stop was 100 foot. the wind was out of the south witch made it perfect for drifting some ledges. got about 30 under size red snapper, we finally my little brother bobby got 1 that was legal. and then i hooked in to a descent fish on my little avit. and when it finally came up i couldn't believe my eyes. it was a fat snowy grouper.

so we decided to anchor up and fish this spot a little more. sent down a fat live bait in hope for another fat grouper. it wasn't long before my brother pulled up a nice gag. we mist a couple nice hits on some big baits and hooked a big shark on a blue fish under a balloon on top but he popped the line, i was kinda glade he did because he had about half the spool out with no intentions of stopping. decided to pull anchor and head to a shrimp boat wreck. first drift my buddy Steven caught a nice reef donkey. and after that it started to blow 15-20 knots so we pounded a few cold ones and started for are long way home with some great fish in the bag!

Nope, the dots are characteristic of a Snowy. Dang, that's rare to catch one that shallow in a hundred feet.

SS - I have a good idea where you were fishing; I've fished there too but not with the great success you guys had. Nice goin', especially catching the Snowy on that itty-bitty reel.

Catch
