We have been out to the Islamorada Hump and we hooked some pretty good grouper... In the 15 to 17 pound range. One we were never able to bring close enough to the boat before the snap swivel came undone. We never saw what it was .... But it was a very good fight..
The 409 is pretty out there and probably not fished as much.... Keep me posted when you go how you do at the 409... Good luck...
