Mama always said "there will be days like this"....
That's why they call it "fishing" and not "catching". Even the best strike out sometimes. Keep trying and looking for BAIT they normally feed on. Water clarity, water temperature, tides, fishing pressure, and even moon phase are other factors to consider. Better luck next time!

Miami Angler mentions some good spots. Sugarloaf is also very good. My advice would be to keep it simple. Don't go with any fancy jigs or flies or with any fancy retrieves. Best bait to get boned is a lead head like a troll-right, put on a fresh shrimp or piece of conch meat if you can find it and let it sit on the bottom either where you've seen some bones, near muds or where the bottom looks tasty. They will find it. I use a similar technique for redfish. I just cast and wait. After a five to ten minute soak, cast somewhere else. This requires no rod action. They are feeding on scent. That would be my advice for a novice (that would be me too since I have never improved or evolved my bonefishing techniques). You'll nail a ghost like that in no time.

it is a no motor area but if you wade it / drift / pole it you will catch fish.. not far to go... harry harris has some also at the sandbar. dove key and rodrigus key also have all the fish you want to see.
