I do like diesel as well.

Less than 500 original hours, gas & diesel priced so close, and VERY reasonable price of the boat, how can you go wrong?

Fuel consumption is around 10 gal/hour.

The boat has been great for our high-speed wahoo drags, swordie trips, as well as our snorkeling trips.

Come on QQ, buy it- you're boatless.

Think about dragging surge tubes @ Great Eastern, or hitting the Frisbees for sea-bass in it.

Maybe pull some eels around the light for bass or run to the apple tree for some porgies. On a nice day run over to block and fish the hooter for fluke then out to cartright for some blues then over to the suffolk wreck for some cod then to the ranger wreck for some pollack.the butterfish hole might have some giants in it next month.Heck run it down to Shinnecock and go troll the 40 fathom fingers. But the most fun would be fluke fishing the sub bouy.

For real if I had the $ and was looking for a small boat I would be all over it.Knowing how well this boat has been taken care of is a big plus in my book.Add a few more rod holders and some t top holders and your good to go.

Question did this boat ever sell?

I have a friend with the exact same boat, he loves it. I was curious if you finally sold it..you have had it posted for some time.

We havent really pushed to sell the boat as we really do like it & would hate to see it go.

Last week we did our annual haul-out, paint the bottom, wax the hull, replace zincs, etc.

DonK-
I would really like to see some picts of your friends boat as they are pretty rare.

Fort Myers Yacht & Ship only produced around 30 of these boats. My dad's is hull #19

Default Captiva 24

Hey Steve,

here are few shots of my friend's Captiva from a few years back...taken at the historic 'Rockwell Beach' (gone but not forgotten! )

I'll see if I have any others on my other 'puter.

I'll also ask my friend if he wants to exchange e-mail, in case you guys want ot compare notes or whatever.

DonK
