Default Angler Boats?

Was looking at a 230B with 2 115 hp Mecury 4 strokes. I like the idea of 2 motors for saftey on long open ocean runs. Any opinions on this hull?>?

thanks

I don't intend on taking the thunder from this forum, but to get really good information on that boat try thehulltruth.com. Ask the same question and chances are you will get some good responses. Additionally, use their search feature and maybe that will help as well.

The 230B is a good boat for the money. They are used by the Fish & Wildlife commission (or whatever their called nowadays). They have a lifetime hull warranty, they are foam filled and very dry. If you pull the plug on an angler boat it will not sink because of the floatation required by the FWC.

In years past, more than 5 or 6 years ago, they were cheaply made. They recruited the President from Mako & he brough the company up while MAko went down. Since then all their hulls have been redesigned except for the 230B which used to be the 220B, that model is over 20 years old and they have no plans on changing it.

Remember the FWC wont buy a boat based on price, certain requirements must be met before they may even look at them. The most important requirement is floatation along with other safety requirements.

I know all this because I sell boats at the Boat Shows, and the Anglers is a brand that I have sold in the past.
