Default Cove gas?

Anybody on here ever have issues with the gas they got at the Cove in Deerfield. I am not being accusatory, just having engine problems and trying to get to the bottom of it. Of course it could be my fuel tank, but my motor was flawless until this past week when I filled up there. My motor ran really rough ever since I put that gas in there and my water fuel seperator is filling up like there is more water in the gas tank then Fuel It could be totally unrelated and the boat is going into the mechanic regardless, but on the tip of a few friends I have heard their gas has a poor reputation. Any insight, or is this just rumor. I never fill up on the water, so I am not privy to such information.

Just to be clear, I am just inquiring......not hating on the Cove. I like the place, there are some hot chicks there early evening on Windy Weekends

Thanks,

Johnny

I had heard they closed the fuel dock at the Cove...apparently I was mislead...

I almost always fill up there and haven't had any problems yet. But, my last fill up there was about a month ago. Today was the first time in a while I filled up elsewhere because it saved me .25 per gallon. Glad I went somewhere else IF it does turn out to be their problem. I do know their gas is 93 octane, not 89. Don't know if that would make a difference for you or not?

Just a heads up, check the o-ring around your fill to make sure there is no cracks in it or if you can remember if it was on tight. I don't know how much rain you got in the last 2 days we got alot..

Just something to look at.

Thanks you guys. I checked the fill today, and it appears fine. Regardless, the boat went to the mechanic. It needed some updates done anyways, hopefully it is nothing serious. What sucks is I just put a shitload of gas in there, so hopefully it really isnt the gas. Ill let you know what the results of my predicament turn out to be. I dont think it was the rain, because the motor was acting funny before the rain. Either way, thanks again for the response.

Another thing to check is the fuel over flow.On some boats it gets knocked off and the check valve gets stuck open and water gets in the tank.

For a few Benji's... it might be worth it to have a company filter all the fuel and remove all the water. That kind of thing will drive you batty for sure.
