Guys,
Thinking about getting a new boat. We want a 25 - 27 W/A (would rather a 27 w/twins). Figured I'd ask you all what boat builders even build a W/A still? Pro-line, Pursuit, Sailfish, etc? Cheers! |

The Conch is not the right boat if she/he is looking for a walkaround. It is a beautiful boat, but a true center console. There are some nice walkarounds out there. I'll chime in later when I have some more time. We have the Contender 36 Fisharound and it is a great boat. They also build a 31, but I know you are looking for a little smaller.

The boat i got my first sword was a 27 contender and it just flat out hauls azz. The boat got you there and back in no time. Plus it was a great boat to manuvure around in. So contender would be my choice :thumright:

My chips would bet on a 270 WorldCat or the 330TE WorldCat if you can afford it and don't want to trailer.
I fished tournaments and charters out of my 270 for 6 years before I bought my 330TE. I have 2 years on the 330TE with almost 1800 running hrs on The BEAST. I have fished an all female fishing team for the last 9 years and if I can keep 3 or 4 ladies happy, dry, and wanting to fish again tomorrow it must be a smooth riding boat. Contender? Dry? Smooth? Now that is funny! Fast, maybe, but only in the Bay or 1-2' seas. Good advertising and marketing strategy, Yes! Capt. Jim The BEAST |

In the last 2 years I know of at least a dozen who have fished with me and went home and bought a 330TE. I love my boat, not fast, but a Cadillac ride with stability at rest also. We pass other brand boats all the time and see them pointing at us. We are all seated (1 girl takes a nap on the coffin box) while they are all standing with the shock absorber knees and white knuckled death grip
My daughter, one of The Beastie Girls, rode along on the "Nothings Wild" (31'Contender) during a tournament last year while I was in Alaska. She said she tried to ride in front of the console in 2-3' seas and it felt like they were pounding her spine through her brain. Ryan told her to move to the rear and she said that was much better if you like 5 gallon buckets of water thrown on you at 40 mph. She and the rest of my family will only fish out of The BEAST, now. They will ride in another if it is only running the 8 miles across the Bay to the sand bar. I know people who won't buy a "cat" because they are too ugly for them. Now that is some simple minded thinking. ops: Your boat does look much better in the slip or driveway when the seas are rough and the fish are snappin'. I don't want to start a boat war here because it is simply a matter of preference. Check into the WorldCat 270 SC, EC, or HT if it is a cabin you want and if you have deep pockets the 320 Express Cuddy is a true island runner. Just my 2 cents! Capt. Jim The BEAST |

The Hydra-Sports are the same way. In Bimini Conenders and Sea-Vee's wached us come in the cut from 4-6' head seas. Nothing against Contenders orother 'South Florida Boats'. We walked through it. They do make a few models: 24,25,28,29,33. I heard that the 2900 CC is amazing and is a miniature model of the 33.
Amazing machines
