No doubt about it.............Capt. Jims right.....gotta be a cat all the way.
If you GAVE me a fully loaded 28-35 ft V-hull FREE.....I don't give a s**t who makes it....Contender....SeaVee....blah....blah....whate ver I'd sell it and buy a cat hull as fast as I possibly could. No offense to anyone but I think center console monohulls just plain suck. Unless of course you like standing in the wind while getting blasted with salt spray, while hanging on for dearlife, and getting the crap beat out of you all the while. In case anyone out there wants to know, my ride of choice at the present time happens to be a 28 Kevlacat.

Yeah I gotcha...
I have a buddy who just bought a 26' cat, and is selling his 17 death trap cat. Oh what a horror that thing is. I will not go with him in itanymore. It's like a syrofoam cup wrapped with a few layers of glass, and rides okay if it's calm. He bought a big cat, even though his cousin just died in one in the Carolina's coming in an inlet when it was nasty with a CHARTER!!! His Glacier Bay, cut into a swell coming in a sound up there. One of the "hulls" if that's what you call'em, cut in and went under and flipped the boat over and landed on him and killed him. His 4 passenger charter was ejected from the boat and spent a whole night floating out in Lake Atlantic, before they were found by a commercial boat, the next day. Thankgoodness they were all young. I hope he had big time liability insurance.
