cut the back engine hatches outta my bertram!

ever since I converted my little 28' Bertram to outboards we have loved fishing, diving, cruising around and going to the islands on her. since I have no inboard power in her the step up step down b.s. of the old raised up area has bothered the heck outta me. so i got the sawzall out and modified her! so glad I did! I will post some pics up this week of her. we hold 230 gallons of fuel 47 gallons water and room for days. plus a real head and holding tank. lots of storage areas under deck and the cabin I convert the cafeteria seating to a big day bench / bunk. so nice not stepping up / stepping down all the time!

so much more room! no more stepping on engine hatches! no more step up step down stair master moves going in and out of the cabin... priceless!

excellent idea and great turnout. anyone considering major fiberglass mods and work should check out classicmako.com. those guys do some crazy stuff and it's a wealth of knowledge for any boat work.
