If you need your tanks cleaned or fuel polished I found a guy named Rory in Fort Lauderdale Area. He is half the the price of the guy on the west coast posted in the previous log. Does great work and comes refered by local Marine Mechanics. His number is 954-683-1771. He is currently doing my fuel as we speak.

![]() Hi, I respectfully submit this response to your price comment. I certainly understand and encourage everyone to use the most reasonable quote for any comparable professional service work. But, it is very difficult for us to believe you are paying half price for a comparable service. Our costs reflect an exclusive process we perfected. We use a proprietary industrial strength tank cleaner/stabilizer/fuel booster to restore fuels to a usable state and to clean behind the baffles, as it is usually impossible to do it mechanically. We also build our own polishing equipment and have our own chemical blending/bottling plant. We provide fuel solutions and purifying service to industrial clients with 5,000-50,000 gallon tanks as well as heavy equipment owners, emergency generators and yachts/boaters from 40 to over 10,000 gallon tanks. We have six branches with mobile units operating in five states. We can and have restored fuels (Gas & diesel) more than 8-years old. We welcome a fuel polishing/purifying challenge and are often called as a last resort to cure fuel problems after other fuel polishing/filtering companies have failed. (we usually save 90-99% of contaminated fuels) There is a lot more to curing a fuel/tank issue than just filtering the fuel and putting in an over the counter strength cleaner/stabilizer. I am not bad mouthing the other company or saying the service is not effective as I certainly do not know them or their process. But, I encourage you to make a fair comparison, ask them if they have liability insurance, how much fuel you will lose with their process, how they clean behind the baffle(s), what chemicals they use if any to do so, if their process will restore lost octane and or boost the fuel, what is his guarantee and does his process violate engine warranties. (six out of ten over the counter fuel additives contain alcohol and violate/void engine warranties) We have more than 40-years of fishing/boating/engine building/fuel blending/chemical additive experience. We also offer a full fuel testing program by an independent certified lab and we can tests fuel on the spot for actual percentage of ethanol content. Our motto is: "IF YOU HAVE A FUEL PROBLEM WE CAN CURE IT" !!! If your current vendor can aswer "yes", and or compare with all the above credentials at that price then by all means stay with them and recommend them to all. But, if the process you are having done does not work to your satisfaction please give us a call and we will fix it the first try. we have done it a cpl times on boats I run here even on the diesel side. the crap that comes out of the 28 bert fiberglass tanks is wicked smelly also (may be that this corn stuff turns it to a soft wobbly walled evil thing!) but even on the aluminum tanks it pits some and the three different color fuel in a clear bowl is just as bad. by the time you chance the trip or vacation over to the bahamas or keys it is priceless.
you do know they want to go to 15% now???... thats just like de-tuning your engine.. maybe *by the time of mix down to 85 octane also... then "they" <<~~ the guys that add additives, ethanol, solvents and maybe even pee in the tank get through with it you get to buy it.. *also remember that like $0.58 of that cost is yours anyway because for each gallon a farmer / processor makes ... Bush to Obama subsidizes ... a lot of old boats sitting make sure you know your tanks or get them pumped... |
