Worked an all day charter on Sunday. Had a fun group of tourists from South Africa and had an all around good day of bottom fishing. Was scrubbing the deck on the way in when the Capt. hollered for me to report to the bow w/ the jig rod. A decent pod of cobia appeared about 20 yards in front of the boat. Made a good cast and hooked up the first cobe. Handed off the rod to a cute SA girl, and grabbed another jig rod. Repeat cast and switch

. Then fired off a flatline sardine hooked up and handed off again and went for the gaff. First two were clearly big enuff and were gaffed and iced. Third was netted; taped @ 32 5/8" and was released. Happy sunburnt drunken South Africans grinned all the way to the dock. Great ending to a fine day on the Safari One.
