I have a few of the glow jigs made just for catching squid. It's a hateful little device that has a glowing head and two sets of 14 hooks. You charge it for about 5 minutes under a bright light, then send it down to about 300ft on a spinner with braid. I've only used it out on the swordfishing grounds. When squid are in the area it produces. The squid I have caught on the grounds have been small.
