Hey RT, I hear you, the night time deal is very user friendly. I got some tips as to how they do it during the day and I am gearing up for a shot. These guys are using a heavy break away weight and once that gets to the bottom they give the line some violent tugs and break the weight off. Some use about 10lbs of rocks in some kind of bag. I may try my home made deepline weights. All other rigging is just like we are doing at night. Electrolume, 2lb weight etc etc. I for one would try it with my Lindgren and fish that 200lb
Power Pro right off the rod tip. Any bite at all will be noticed. Remember thats how we first tangled with a sword a few months ago while deepdropping. Thats what got me so turned on to swordfishing here. It would be a hoot to catch one during daylight hours.
