Because the current limit is 6 pelagics PER BOAT and they clearly went over that.
I have to agree with RT about the gaffing, no need to hurry once you know the fish is hooked properly, if you are patient and smooth with your retrieve the fish will come right to the surface in its
Circles and you can literally plant the gaff tip precicely where you want it, not deep into the back meat. Slamming it down onto the deck will also bruise the meat. I brain and bleed them instantly which makes a big difference.
