QQ .... You are correct on both counts

Left Boynton Inlet around 6:30 PM with my buddy Neal and Poledancer aboard Neal's 30 ft HydraSport. We quickly got out of the rain and had a fairly smooth run down to the 50 line. Trolled the last hour with no action. Had 5 lines in by 8:45 and began the wait. Around midnight the aft tip rod got hit but not plugged in. Just after 1AM the forward tip line got hammered and came tight. After a short fight of approx 5 min, got it along side and tried to put the tape on it while it was still in the water. Suddenly the fish realized it was caught and went ballistic so measuring it in the water wasn't gonna happen. We knew it was legal so we hoisted it aboard and got the tape on it ... 50". Poledancer got whacked across the forehead with the swordie bill and ended up with a nice raspberry above the right eye. Unfortunately, the sword's bill had been broken and chipped on the end at some point in the fishes life with about 3" missing so I didn't keep it.
Checked the other 3 baits and all had been slashed. Ran back south a bit and reset the drift and got no further action. Called it about 2:30 and headed back tired, but happy.
